• CW: Thank you for agreeing to speak with us! We are big fans of ELK Studios’ games and are really excited to learn more about them in this interview. First of all, what’s, in your opinion, the reason why ELK Studios is so successful?

JN: Thank you for having us! I think our success comes from our common passion for slots. We truly believe that the best game is yet to be built and that drive allows us to be bold, innovative, and try new things. At the same time, we are becoming quite good at building our own IPs such as Wild Toro, Gold, Nitropolis, and Pirots. Also, we try to have fun at the same time and I think that humouristic touch is often translated to our games.

• CW: And how does ELK differ from the other game providers? What are your USPs?

JN: Our company values Quality, Innovation, and Entertainmentis present in everything we do. It runs through every part of our day-to-day work and works as a beacon of direction in all decisions. We always try to push the boundaries of online slots without compromising on quality and entertainment.

• CW: What’s your main focus when creating games? Do you think of the players’ preferences, or do you aim to create new and unique games that provide extraordinary experiences?

JN: Our main focus in every game is to make the best game ever. For us, it’s never a win-or-loose scenario, it’s a win-or-learn. We learn something new from each game, and we use that learning for future projects. Whether its mechanics, features, or themes, for each game we gain a better understanding of what our players like.

• CW: You’ve recently launched your games to the USA market, so congrats on that! Can you tell us more about what can we expect from you in the near future? New markets, new partnerships?

JN: Thank you! To go live in the US was a milestone in our mission to be live in every regulated corner of the world. Apart from strengthening our already strong presence in Europe, we are now focusing a lot across the pond such as Canada, US, and LATAM.

• CW: We can’t miss mentioning your great presence on LinkedIn! You’ve been sharing some great posts there about your team expanding, your work achievements, and, of course, the many game releases. On that thought, how many new games can we expect by the end of 2024?

JN: We are planning to release 24 games in 2024!

• CW: You keep evolving and expanding your business, can you share with our readers how you keep up with all the trends and the pivots in the gambling industry?

JN: We always try to keep an ear to the ground, identifying upcoming trends and keeping up with what the other game studios are up to. In our high-paced industry, the competition is fierce and we love that, as it makes us push harder to stay in the game.

• CW: On that thought, how do you think the industry will change in the next five years and is there something that all of us need to prepare for?

JN: I think the latest trend in online slots has been the evolving influence of gamification. We see more and more game providers closing the gap between slots and video games, and that is a trend I think will continue to evolve in the coming years.
